About us

The Full House Orchestra was formed as a string orchestra back in 2002 and was called the String House Orchestra. Since then, we have added a number of woodwind players and, more recently, some brass. We have also welcomed a young drummer. Another of our players adds some other percussive effects in some pieces that we play. Therefore, it seemed most appropriate to rename the group so now we are the Full House Orchestra.

We have players ranging from about age 10 up to adult. Since many of our musicians are of school age, we do lose several each year as they leave the area to begin their higher education. Consequently, we are always on the lookout for new people.

Over the years, we have put on some splendid concerts and performed at the local Women's Institute on several occasions. We hope that by increasing the size of the group we will be able to tackle even more music and present further sparkling performances.
